1. Customer
In terms of assets, mBank is the fourth largest bank in Poland. Its mobile banking system is actively used by over 2.2 million customers. mBank has over 5.6 million retail banking customers and 26 thousand corporate banking customers. It is considered the icon of mobile banking in Poland by all its customers. mBank selected DomData as the optical character recognition system provider.
2. Challenge
Our task was to design and implement a system for the processing of incoming documents, including the OCR engine.
3. Solution
As part of the project, we performed a functional and technical analysis, on the basis of which we developed a solution tailored to the bank’s needs. Our consultants configured the OCR engine templates for the optical character recognition and optimised the workflow for the selected document types. We integrated the developed system into the solutions that had already been in place at the bank. Currently, we maintain and service the solution implemented.
4. Result
“The implemented solution largely automates the work of users responsible for registering and processing documents. This system takes over a significant part of manual work, which makes the processing of documents much faster. The optical character recognition system is of high quality accepted by mBank. The system processes hundreds of thousands of pages and documents every month.” – stated the CIO at mBank SA.
