BNP Paribas is the largest bank in the euro zone in terms of the stock market capitalisation and the largest retail bank in France with over 2 200 branches. BNP Group operates in 72 countries and employs over 200 000 people. BNP Paribas Bank Polska S.A. has over 500 branches and over 100 customer service points throughout Poland. Over 3.8 million customers in Poland have already familiarised themselves with the Bank’s extended product range.

2. Challenge

BNP Paribas Bank Polska was looking for a solution that would allow for the basic business processes carried out to be automated and optimised. The system was to be used by over 10 000 employees of the bank’s head office, branches and establishments. The solution was to be made available through the ‘System as Service’ model.

3. Solution

The scope of the works carried out by DomData included a functional and technical analysis, on the basis of which the plan for implementing and integrating the solution into the Bank’s structures was developed. The solution was based on the Ferryt platform, which is a BPM system. DomData consultants implemented and set parameters for the selected business processes in accordance with the Bank’s requirements. Templates were also implemented on the basis of which the system automatically generated outgoing documents. The entire solution was integrated into the BNP Paribas Bank Polska systems and with the systems and services of external providers. We performed tests and installed the system in the selected environments. The solution is maintained and serviced within the ‘System as Service’ model under the outsourcing agreement between the parties.

4. Result

Upon their implementation, both the system and the solutions have significantly enhanced and automated the bank’s operations in the areas of their application.
